Loot Recordings introduces a talented new music producer Ayala

Loot Recordings kicks off their 2020 by introducing a fast-rising new talent, Ayala, backed with remixes from Quatri and Rancido.

Ayala debuted with a fine EP on MoBlack in 2019 and showed off his knack for peaceful grooves, blissful music and a careful mix of ethnic atmospheres, jazz, disco and pure four-four rhythms.

He opens this EP with the tribal beats of ‘Ecoute,’ a busy, jostling track that makes you shake your limbs as the toms, shakers and rubbery kicks all bring real looseness. When the spiritual synths arrive, you’re transported to an African plain and lost in the moment. The more driving Quatri remix is a warm, chord-laced deep house for cosy backroom dancing that is another fine offering from the Frenchman who is a master of melody.

The excellent ‘Primal’ is a more cosmic tune with twinkling keys up top and crisp drum work down below. Earthy and organic, it has a very human feel with plenty of thoughtful pads that make a lasting impact. With releases on labels like Innervisions and Connaisseur Recordings, Rancido has showcased his modern organic techno many times before and here does so again with an absorbing late-night mix that is perfectly heady and finished with delightfully delicate pads.

This is a strong EP from a talent very much worth keeping an eye out for in 2020.
