With psychedelic washes of colour filtering through each frame and the magic of sunrise added into the mix, Joris Delacroix Early Hours’ lyric video stands out as it captures the magic of early morning adventures. A laidback soul, this video features the renowned music producer and his entourage breathing in the fresh morning air after a night of entertainment. The ‘Early Hours’ single featuring vocalist Run Rivers released just last week via SmallFishBigSea and is already sitting over 31 000 streams on Spotify to date.

In a conversation with House Music (read interview) the DJ elaborated on working with Run Rivers: “Last year I made a remix of a Tinlicker’s track which Run Rivers performed on, that’s how we got in touch. From his previous collaborations on Anjuna Deep, he already has the experience of performing on deep melodic tracks. This made this collaboration very efficient, even if we did it remotely. I first made an instrumental version that I sent to him to put some ideas on, and then we added vocals parts little by little. We also modified the instrumental when it was needed. This was really interesting because we had a lot of interactions and we tested a lot of different things on the vocals and instrumental before arriving at the final result. He was really involved in the project so it was a great pleasure to work with him. I’m sure we’ll collaborate again in the future.”

Previously collaborating with Run Rivers prior to this release, Joris knew he wanted to try a different sound that featured more vocal range. Run Rivers of course nailed the vocals on ‘Early Hours’, providing soaring & vibrant vocals on this track. Along with Joris’s melodic elevation of the track, they create that mystical feeling of early morning & excitement for new beginnings. Run Rivers has collaborated with the likes of renowned & emotionally rich music producers like DJ Shadow, ‘Early Hours’ definitely presents similar qualities with its feel-good electronic embellishments.
