PTU and Rhizome fly the трип flag at Moscow’s Synthposium

Synthposium takes place in Moscow from 24-27 August. The festival will also host interactive installations, public art and audiovisual performances. The evening programme will host  three afterparties at popular clubbing venues Pluton and Rodnya in Moscow, with foreign artists and famous local musicians among the headliners. Among the line-up is трип’s PTU and Rhizome.

PTU
have found success not only in Russia but abroad, and their vinyl release A Broken Clock Is Right Twice A Day on Nina Kraviz’ label трип is sought after by every techno DJ.
Kazan-via-Moscow producers Alina Izolenta and Kamil Ea began exploring electronic music on Soviet devices like the Polivoks, Electronica EM-04, Rhythm-2, and the Junost-21. They later got their hands on the Korg ESX and Korg EMX, and now use two Elektron Octatracks.

Nikita Zabelin aka Rhizome will also be gracing the stages at Synthposium. The Yekaterinburg producer and DJ has spearheaded a wave of activity in Moscow: he promotes new Russian techno through his Resonance Moscow brand, including a radio show for Megapolis FM, the Resonance Moscow label and the UNIT series of events showcasing musicians from various Russian cities. Zabelin performs and collaborates with Boiler Room, works on his Rhizome side project, and has released music through трип label.
