“There is one song though that took my music loving heart by storm, the clever  and fascinating “Gin & Ice”. The beats and melody are catchy, the vocals by Luke Rogers enchanting and there is the overall vibe of ice crushing and things clashing – ultra cool and surprisingly unique!”

Impure’s debut EP is a fresh sounding futuristic journey through emotions, each track represents a different mood but is very similar in style. ‘Connect’ is a beautiful electronic experience through Impure’s sound which sees them constantly exploring new ways of production, using the latest computer, synth and visual technology. From the cool dreamy bassline on opener ‘New Fragrance’ and the strong vocal showcase on ‘The Things You Told Me’ – to the upbeat eudemonia of ‘Gin & Ice,’ this debut EP is a fresh sounding futuristic journey through human emotions.
Having been influenced by artists such as Orbital, Leftfield, Prodigy, Massive Attack, The XX, Daft Punk, Madonna, Yazoo and New Order, Impure have channelled their proclivity for these artists into a sound that is both modern and relevant. Other inspirations and influences include The Cure, Tears for Fears, Phil Collins, TheWkend, Michael Jackson, Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin, Steve Reich, Vangelis, Jean Michelle Jarre, Eurythmics, New Order and Skream,
Ini Edwards and Rob Sparx (of Kachina fame) are the forces behind production, ripping apart the boundaries of time and space in their quest for sonic revolution. They began their collaboration in 2016, with the intention of creating a new and fresh sound, based on a mutual love for 80’s synth pop and 90’s leftfield dance music.
The warped deep digital sea of harmony and texture that is the Impure sound, is just beginning its evolution.
